  • What types of track is the CamDolly designed to work with?
  • The CamDolly modular ccamera dolly system is supplied with 100 feet of solid flexible rubber track, as well as 2 track ends designed for use with common metal tubing available in most hardware or home supply stores. However, the CamDolly is also fully compatible with professional-grade track found in studios and available through rental houses.
  • Can I use my tripod/tripod head/camera mount with the CamDolly?
  • The CamDolly is built to industry standard specifications. As such, it is compatible with virtually all tripods, mounts, and tripod heads.

  • What is the CamDolly made of?
  • The CamDolly was designed to minimize overall weight while maintaining durability, strength, and load-bearing capacity. All CamDolly parts are constructed of 15mm precision-machined aluminum, with hardened metal threaded inserts. Balloon tires are made of high-performance synthetic rubber, while the two sets of small wheels (tabletop and tracking) are made of resilient, smooth-rolling polyurethane—the same super-durable wheels used by professional skateboarders. Metal parts are finished in hardened black enamel to minimize reflectivity.
  • How much weight can the CamDolly support?
  • Up to 200 kilograms (440 pounds), including both camera and cameraman.
    The CamDolly is designed primarily for use with modern cameras and today’s cameras have moderate weight; however, its heavy-duty construction ensures that it is easily capable of supporting up to 200 kilograms (440 pounds)
  • How much does the CamDolly weigh?
  • The biggest, haviest of configurations that you can configure, weights approximately 35 kilograms (77 pounds). That means with extension legs, the tracking wheels assemblies, push-pull T-bar and the seat.
    However most configurations weight less than that. Especially if you’re only using the core piece as a tabletop camera dolly option
    The CamDolly was designed to strike the right balance between portability, durability, and ease of use. While care was taken to minimize overall weight and bulk without compromising quality, it is nonetheless professional-grade equipment.
    The complete system weighs approximately 45 kilograms (99 pounds) in total.
